Blackboard Coffee: the cafe that we own on the Gold Coast. Originally renowned for the coffee, it now has a menu to please all.

  • We recommend: pink papaya bowls, smashed avocado if you’re feeling well behaved, or salted caramel donuts for those feeling a little naughtier.

Good Day Coffee: located in Tugun, conveniently close to Gold Coast Airport.

  • We recommend the ham and gruyere toastie and why not have one of their amazing cookies too!

Paddock Bakery: beautiful bakery in Miami. Sit outside in their outdoor dining area on a nice sunny afternoon.

  • We recommend one of their insane pastries

Justin Lane: very fun establishment serving great pizzas with a great rooftop bar for cocktails before or after 

  • We recommend the seafood pizza

  • If you are GF, their gluten free bases are also delicious

Etsu Isakaya: incredible Japanese restaurant. Great vibe and fit out.

  • We recommend the beef tartare and the gyoza.

Rick Shores: modern Asian fusion. Located in Burleigh with an view incredible view of Burleigh beach, very difficult to beat.

  • Get an early booking to watch the sunset over the ocean

Lucky Bao: fluffy baos that are to die for, in Mermaid Waters.

  • We recommend: the chicken or soft shell crab baos.

Hellenika: famous Greek food, in Nobbys Beach.

  • We recommend: the sagonaki and dolmades.

Do:

Balter Brewery: open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Not only do you get to experience their delicious cold beer on tap, but each evening they have a food truck serving different street food items.

Greenhouse Bathhouse: an amazing bathhouse in Burleigh. Go for a soak or book yourself in for a massage! 

Burleigh Hill: fabulous spot to laze away the afternoon/ evening. Throw down a towel, bring a book, share a bottle of wine and order take away pizza from Justin Lane that will be delivered to you by bike.

Ritual Yoga and Pilates Studio: our favourite Yoga studio on the Coast.

Pacific Fair: shopping mall in Broadbeach, newly renovated, every brand your retail heart could possibly desire.

The Borrowed Nursery: located in Mermaid Beach, an amazing nursery, specialising in spectacularly lush indoor plants. And their apricot doors are a photo opportunity that cannot be missed.

Cambus Wallace: a great nautical themed bar in Nobbys Beach.

Gold Coast Arts Centre: keep your eye out for what is on at the Arts Centre. Indie films, bands, theatre performances.

  • Currumbin Creek and Tallebudgera Creek: great for little kids as there are no waves

  • Currumbin rockpools

  • Lamington National Park


Markets:

  • Miami Organic Farmers Market: every Sunday

  • Farmers Markets at PBC State School: every Saturday

  • The Village Markets: take place every first and third Sunday of the month at Burleigh Heads State School. Grab an Acai and take away coffee from one of the stalls while you scour the stores of local designers and creative entrepreneurs.
